Workshops at Eric's Studio
Located in Middle Tennessee
We're just about in between Nashville and Chattanooga. Approximately 1.25 hours from both cities.
No shortage of great local food
Great eclectic mix of restaurants—BBQ, Sandwich shop, Vegetarian and Vegan cafés, lots of Mexican, Amish Deli, Italian and a new pizza place. Plenty of options for dinner.
Relax on the tiny porch
It's tiny, but it's perfect for taking a break or bringing your basket outside to weave. We have several birds that make their home next to the shop along with several hummingbirds and you will be sure to be visited by one of our cats and of course, Izzy our rescue dog.
Meet new friends
Our classes here have created some great friendships. Our first class here in McMinnville, the same group has been returning every year. They hail from Wisconsin, Michigan and Massachusetts. It's so fun to see their faces every year.
Conventions, Guilds &Private Workshops
Will Travel
Eric has been making baskets since 1984 and has taught the art of basketry, nationally, for over 30 years. He travels across the country teaching his designs at conventions, guilds and private classes.
Brings More than a Toolbox
He brings with him an array of tools and equipment for his workshops, including molds and materials. He has successfully taught beginners and prides himself in the completion of each student's baskets
He's an Awesome teacher
Well at least that's what we read in his reviews... along with patient, funny, fantastic, talented... we could go on here.
From Beginner to Advanced
Eric's philosophy of teaching consists of treating everyone individually and not withholding any knowledge back. One student may be a perfectionist and preoccupied with the end-results, while another may be more interested in absorbing new skills being taught.
