People used to head to the General Store to buy groceries with their basket on their arm. I wanted to create a basket reminiscent of those days.
This basket is perfect for light shopping at the local grocer or at your Farmer’s market.
Behind the Series: Since moving to rural Middle Tennessee, I’ve had students travel to my workshop every year to make baskets. I wanted to create a collection exclusively offered only to them. So I named it after my new town of McMinnville and created a line of baskets focused on rectangular shapes with utilitarian sizes—functional and sturdy baskets to last a lifetime.
This basket is not offered as a kit or in any workshops other than in McMinnville, Tennessee.
